Alpha is a place to talk about the big topics of faith and Christianity. If you’ve got questions around faith, Jesus, the church, or religion - this is the place to bring them!

Each week we start with dinner (it’s free and delicious!) and a short talk exploring an element of the Christian faith, followed by group discussion where you can share your thoughts and hear from others. It's a fun, non-judgmental, and pressure-free environment. No question is too big or too basic. There’s no pressure to say anything - and there’s nothing you can’t say!

Know a friend who is curious about faith or meaning? Bring them along!

Additional Details

Who is Alpha for?

  • Alpha is for anyone. People attend from all backgrounds, religions, and viewpoints. Participants come to investigate questions about the existence of God, the purpose of life, and the claims of Jesus. Some people are curious to understand what the Christian faith believes. Others come to learn more about the God who really changes lives. Many guests have never been to church, others may have attended church occasionally but feel they have never really understood the basics of the Christian faith or simply aren't able to articulate why they believe what they believe. Everyone is welcome.

How much does Alpha cost?

  • There’s no charge for attending the Alpha course. If you can contribute $5 to help cover the cost of the meal, that’s much appreciated; if not, no worries!

What do we cover?

Over the 10 weeks, we’ll explore the following topics:

  • Is there more to life than this?
  • Who is Jesus?
  • Why did Jesus die?
  • How can I have faith?
  • Why and how do I pray?
  • Why and how should I read the Bible?
  • How does God guide us?
  • Who is the Holy Spirit?
  • Why is there evil in the world?
  • What about the church?
