Personal Bio

Raised on a farm in Kansas, Susan Shelley learned a strong work ethic at an early age.  Susan went on to complete her studies in Elementary Education and Secondary Health and Physical Education at Bethel College there in her home state.  She received a Master of Arts degree in Christian Education from Denver Seminary.   While teaching middle school for many years, Susan also coached several high school sports. Susan is married to Marshall and they have five children.  Their three children here on earth are Stacey, Kelsey, and Bayly and they have two children, Mandy and Toby, who are in heaven with Jesus. Susan and Marshall are overjoyed by their seven grandchildren and find contentment in spending time with their family.   After spending twenty-four years as Children’s Pastor, Susan now serves as the Congregational Care Pastor at Parkview.  She oversees the needs of the Congregational Care Ministry, which includes the Monday Night Care and Recovery Ministry, the Homebound/Senior Ministry, the Prayer Ministry, the Marriage Ministry, and Pastoral Counseling.   Passionate about her role, Susan gets most excited about seeing the transformation that occurs in a person’s heart through God.  She loves watching the Lord do what only He can do to heal hearts and change lives.
